This is probably the hottest day we've had this summer, and the summer's just getting started... How high are we gonna climb this year? We'll have to see, but today it's hitting something like 41.5 degrees Celsius, which is intense.

That's what my car's dash was showing earlier.I did hit the gym, though, even though I was planning on skipping it. Managed to bang out a solid shoulder workout in less than half an hour, which is pretty damn neat. I'm staying away from the treadmill until autumn. I don't like getting dehydrated during summer.

A friend of mine invited me to the pool this morning, but frankly, I ain't spending too much time under the sun. I'm definitely hitting the pool tomorrow, though, since it seems the temperature will be about five degrees cooler at noon than it is today.I'm still rocking the tan of a redneck, and honestly, I ain't loving it.

I like warm temperatures, and I sure as hell love spring, but I'm not a huge fan of scorching summers. These days remind me of my first summer in Germany.I was working for the post office back then, and I was "lucky" enough to experience the hottest summer the Germans had in a long time as a postman. Man, that sucked.

I was chugging something like four liters of water a day during workdays, and I remember during the first days of heat, I was unprepared.I went to work with just 1.5 liters of water, and by the middle of the route I had to cover, I ran out. No stores were nearby, so I had to ask locals for water. Those damn Germans were real good to me.

I even got fruit from some of them...You don't get summers like that in Northern Europe. I lived in Norway for a year, and the max we had there in July was something like 25 degrees Celsius. However, it felt warmer. They got those damn long days during summer up there.

You only get something like four hours of night in Norway, near Oslo, and it ain't even dark enough to sleep properly without a thick black curtain. You could hit the beach at 8 PM in July and still feel some heat, though... It's that nice.

So, here I am, staying inside, waiting for the evening to come so I can get out and grab something refreshing. I'll probably have a beer or two. Why not... Until next time, have a great day and stay cool, my friends.

Thanks for your attention,
Adrian
