Backtracking...

I got a cold. I don't know if it was "given to me" or if I simply put the right puzzle pieces where they belonged to be able to score such an early spring achievement, but... It's not the first time it hits me during the spring season, but this time I really hate it.

I guess I'm overexuberant whenever the temperature starts rising a bit...

So let's do a bit of backtracking and see what might have caused it...

We had a really warm and sunny weekend the past week and I have to say that I spent a lot of time out considering these circumstances. However, this is a big however. On Saturday morning I met a friend in a supermarket and he told me that he was cold.

We didn't even shake hands. But... Did he "hand me over" his cold while chatting for a few minutes at the supermarket?

Probably... I can't be sure of that. Or that guy coughing in the gym's elevator? Probably...

All I know is that Saturday afternoon I had that barbecue that I posted about already and that one came packed with a few beers. Six of them actually.

The beer was cold and the evening that followed the afternoon barbecue was spent at a sort of an "open space bar" near the Danube which could have probably paid a role in making it possible for the cold to settle in.

Sunday came with pretty much the same routine, except for the barbecue and the cold beers, but nevertheless, I spent a whole lot of time outdoors walking and riding my bike.

If none of the above "is guilty of my cold" then it should be the way I spent my Monday, which got me into coughing and having neck pain as of past evening. Shitty simptoms that made my sleeping unpleasant.

I did hit the gym on Monday morning and went for a long walk afterward. I didn't feel like it was enough, thus I had to get out with the bike for a while, and before you know it, I was pedaling for over an hour straight.

Maybe doing that while I was sweating and while having the wind pushing against me could have caused the mess. Maybe...

I took some pills today, hit the gym nevertheless and I'm about to have a hot shower too. I hope it helps. If not... I'm going to hit the gym tomorrow even harder...

I recommend you take extra vitamin supplements B12 1000 mcg and zinc for the next 3-4 days, drink a ton of extra water, and get some good sleep to curtail your cold. Hope you start feeling better soon!😊

Thanks. I ordered some multi vitamin supplements right after reading your comment. I took these for a while but had a break lately. I'm taking some medicine for now and drinking some tea. Maybe I'm lucky and it goes away by tomorrow morning ;)
