Democracy has made things rather worse than good for our shitty little country. The Communist regime was definitely a constricting one for us Romanians, but at least back then we didn't had ghost towns like this one.

Its name is Baile Herculane and is 25 kilometers away from my town. I have had quite a few posts having it as a topic but this one is about the state of the buildings over there.

Over 30 years of democracy blended with corruption hasn't helped our economy in any way and the state of affairs of this country is reflected in the urban scenery we have.

As in the case of this little town some buildings that were constructed back in the days of the old Communist dictator, structures that have a unique architecture have been left to crumble while others have been restored.

The ones that got the interest of the businessmen in the area have benefited from a bit of love when it came to "aging properly" but the others are clearly suffering.

It's such a pity that a town like this one which is so full of history and famous for its thermal baths since the days of the Romans has been left to literally die...

I wouldn't blame that on either incompetence or bad management. It's just greed and corruption taken to the extreme... Maybe one day Romania will resurrect from the ashes, and maybe crypto will help us resurrect it. Maybe...

Time to go to bed now. I hope everyone has had a great day and see you to the next post.

Thanks for your attention,
Adrian
