Good wine, fun times, and cheap talk bring people together, but true friendship, connectedness, and loyalty are what keep human relationships tied together. As I have mentioned in a couple of my previous posts, Romanians and a bunch of other Orthodox countries in the world celebrated Easter this Sunday.

However, this year Easter coincided with the birthday of a good friend of mine. Although he no longer lives in town and moved away many years ago, we were schoolmates for over 12 years, and we have been friends for twice as long.

Unfortunately, I forgot that his birthday was on April 16th... My bad... I am not too good at remembering birthdays, not even my own. However, while at the Easter party on Saturday night, he informed us that he was turning 37 that night and that he would treat us all.

It seems that he is four months older than I am, and when I think of the years that have passed, it is amazing how many memories we have shared and how strong true friendships can be.

I don't have many friends, but I believe that true friendships are hard to find and build. Therefore, I am grateful for the ones I have.

I got drunk that night. It was New Year's Eve when I last found myself in this position, but I don't regret spending the night drinking a few good glasses of wine because it was good. Furthermore, the wine came from a winery in my grandma's village.

I know it's Monday already, but it feels a lot like Sunday for many of us. Many didn't have to go back to work today, and the restaurants were full of people still wearing holiday smiles and good vibes.

As of tomorrow, we will return to our mundane lives accompanied by a lot of rain and relatively cold temperatures for this time of year.

Does being 37 years old make you old? I guess it depends on how you feel and what you're demanding from life. This guy who celebrated his 37th birthday is a demander, and I'm happy to be one of his friends.
