Registered for the Malaysia VEP (Vehicle Entry Permit) and booked an appointment to collect last Sunday at Woodlands. Got lost trying to find the entrance and drove around a few times. Quite chaotic there. Had to parked the car and go up to their office on 3rd floor to register. First I had to queue outside for a while before I was given a queue number. Then still had to wait longer before being allowed inside to sit and wait again with the rest of the crowd.

While waiting, I was reading this notice on the wall and found that the parking lot I parked at meant I could be wheel clamped. My number was called, I went to the counter to fill up a form and paid and then back to sit down and wait again until they called my vehicle registration number.

The vehicle registration numbers were called in batch. We were then led to a room on the first floor behind where they would issue and install the VEP. They gave and briefing and told us about the process. Then I went to drive the car over. Luckily, I hadn't been wheel clamped. The installation process was done and they read the RFID tag they stuck on the windscreen and tested with a readed. They submitted the activation successfully too.

Drove back to Lorong 5 Toa Payoh looking for lunch past the peak lunchtime.

They replaced the mixed vegetables which had run out with curry vegetables. Very little ikan bills. Chili and curry vegetables were nice. Egg was nicely fried. Chicken chop was not bad.

Then drove to the inlaws place. There was a family of people playing pickleball at the badminton court nearby. Not my friend whom I had seen playing there twice on Sunday.

After staying at the inlaws a few hours, I went back to the town central for a walk and bought a match ice cream from McDonald's for $1.30.
