Hope everyone had a great weekend. It was a very special Beautiful Sunday because it's August 9th—Singapore's National Day! I was lucky enough to get tickets to the National Day Parade (NDP) at our National Stadium, so let me take you along for the walk in. I arrived at the Singapore Sports Hub in the late afternoon. The atmosphere was absolutely electric! There were seas of red and white everywhere as thousands of excited people made their way towards the stadium.

希望大家度过了一个美好的周末。星期天是一个非常特别的“美丽星期天”，因为是八月九日——新加坡的国庆日！我很幸运地拿到了在国家体育场举行的国庆庆典门票，所以让我带大家一起走进去看看吧。我在傍晚前抵达了新加坡体育城。现场的气氛真是太棒了！成千上万兴奋的人群涌向体育场，到处都是红白相间的海洋。

Before heading in, I had to stop and take a photo with this giant red balloon. It has the National Day theme printed on it: "MAJULAH SINGAPURA, GO BEYOND!". I was wearing my red Singapore jersey to blend right in with the patriotic crowd.

在进去之前，我忍不住和这个巨大的红色气球拍张照。上面印着国庆主题：“前进吧，新加坡，超越自我！”。我特地穿上了红色的新加坡运动服，好让自己融入这片爱国的人潮中。

Moving closer to the gates, we walked under a massive sheltered canopy. There were signs pointing towards the "ENTRY INTO STADIUM" and security officers guiding everyone smoothly. In the distance, you can even catch a glimpse of our beautiful city skyline.

走近大门时，我们穿过了一个巨大的遮阳棚。沿途有指示牌写着“进入体育场”，还有安保人员有条不紊地引导着大家。远处的城市天际线也是隐约可见，非常漂亮。

The walkway was very wide but completely packed. It's awesome to see Singaporeans from all walks of life coming together to celebrate our nation's birthday.

人行道虽然很宽，但已经挤满了人。看到来自各行各业的新加坡人聚在一起为祖国庆祝生日，真的感觉很棒。

Finally, it was time to climb the long concrete steps up to our designated gates. The late afternoon sun was shining bright, but the excitement kept everyone going strong without any complaints.

最后，是时候沿着宽敞石阶往上爬，前往我们指定的入口了。傍晚的阳光依然炽热，但大家的兴奋劲儿十足，一点都没有抱怨。

There was more walk.

还要走更多路。

More stairs.

还要爬更多楼梯。

Then security bag check.

然后是安检。

Went in and saw people saying hi to the lion.

进去后看到有人在跟狮子打招呼。

Still a long queue before actually going into the final gate to the stadium and up an escalator.

进入体育场的最后一个入口，然后乘扶梯上去之前，还要排很长的队。

Waited for a long time before going to the seats.

等了很久才去到座位。

Finally, seated among the sea of red.

终于，我坐在了一片红色的海洋中。

The hosts came in and got everyone excited.

主持人出场，开始搞起气氛。

Zoomed into one part of the stage.

镜头拉近到舞台的某个角落。

I could see the outside of the dome roof on my right.

我能看到右边穹顶的外部。

Beyond there are some condominiums.

远处是一些公寓楼。

The parade started to form.

队伍开始集结。

The prime minister came and then the president.

总理来了，然后是总统。

We sang the national anthem.

我们唱了国歌。

The state flag flew passed outside.

国旗在外面飘扬。

The president inspected the guards of honour.

总统检阅了仪仗队。

Then the parade started.

然后庆典开始了。

After all the contingents marched passed, the performances started.

所有队伍操过后，演出开始了。
