The Ancient Hill Of Tara as the sun goes down

The Ancient Seat of High Kings

You guys will all know by now, that I love light. I enjoy photography, astronomy, spirituality, all of which centre on light in one way or another.

This post is more about the photos and less about the words, so let's get straight down to business with some photos captured at the Ancient Hill Of Tara in Ireland's eastern county of Meath, a county where I lived with my wife and children for seven years.

Here they are:

Oh and that's me holding out my hand...

The rest are the comings and goings of randomers which looked kind of cool against the backdrop.

That Cross

I am not sure what it was about this cross with the perfect blue skies and falling sun behind it that made me want to take so many photos? But I did. I took a tonne of photos and rather than pick the best one or two, I'll share them all. Why? Well, why not?

Saint Patrick

Ireland's patron saint and the fella we make all the fuss about every year on March seventeenth, sure I couldn't walk by without snapping his silhouette against the sunset.

Signs and Proclamations

I'll finish out with some signs from around the Hill Of Tara site and the Irish Proclamation of Independence written and signed by the Fathers of Ireland's freedom back in 1916.

Haha, yes, it is known to show up around three times a year.

I always hear this vicious rumour about some mystical things called a summer, but I have never seen one..

Haha, three times each year? What more could one ask for? And as for summer, we have more than enough summer, we could share some with you Irish folk.
