One week at a time. Chapter 7 - eng/esp

Hello, photography lovers! Today I bring you chapter 7 with several photographic exercises that I did on the site 52frames during 2020, my first year there. I hope you find them interesting!

Hola, amantes de la fotografía! Hoy les traigo el capítulo 7 con varios ejercicios fotográficos que hice en el sitio 52frames durante el 2020, mi primer año ahí. Espero que les resulten interesantes!

Week 39, 2020: Use a tripod / Usa un trípode
I’m used to use my tripod at home. And now that I have the obligation, my mind went back to black (Love you, Amy Winehouse). I found the grid seen in my photo at work, and tried to play with that and, of course, eggs (sweating because they were on the fridge minutes before). I wasn’t very happy with the angles and the views I was getting, so I went the most zenithal I could get, using my tripod, which don’t have a central pivoted column, and later cut off almost everything on the frame, visible tripod legs included, to find an interesting composition. My camera and the external flash were triggered remotely. To me, it is interesting and intriguing the way the shapes and shades play along.

Estoy acostumbrado a usar mi trípode en casa. Y ahora que tengo la obligación, mi mente got back to black (Te amo, Amy Winehouse). Encontré la rejilla que se ve en mi foto en el trabajo, y traté de jugar con eso y con estos huevos (sudando porque minutos antes estaban en el refrigerador). No estaba muy contento con los ángulos y las vistas que estaba obteniendo, así que fui lo más cenital que pude, usando mi trípode, que no tiene una columna central pivotante, y luego corté casi todo lo que había en el marco. Patas de trípode visibles incluidas, para encontrar una composición interesante. Mi cámara y el flash externo se activaron de forma remota. Para mí, es interesante e intrigante la forma en que juegan las formas y los tonos.

Week 40, 2020: Blue / Azul

Mi hija sosteniendo una bola de cristal contra la pantalla azul de nuestro televisor. Un reto respondido bastante literalmente.

Week 41, 2020: Shoot through / Dispara a través
I was planning to shoot “our” hummingbird through the flowers, but this lizard came along and I couldn’t wait longer. Mr. Green here, posing over an iron bar we use to tie our banana trees when the wind threatens to bend them.

Estaba planeando dispararle a “nuestro” colibrí a través de las flores, pero apareció este lagarto y no pude esperar más. Aquí el Sr. Green, posando sobre una barra de hierro que usamos para atar nuestros plátanos cuando el viento amenaza con doblarlos.

Week 42, 2020: Food photography / Fotografía a alimentos
Given the lack of fine crockery and cutlery where I was, I decided to conceptualize what "rice and egg" would be. I moistened the shell of an egg and then passed it on a plate of uncooked rice. The grains adhered without any major problems and I took my photo.

Ante la falta de vajillas y cubiertos finos en el lugar donde estaba, decidí conceptualizar lo que sería "arroz y huevo". Humedecí la cáscara de un huevo y luego lo pasé por un plato con arroz crudo. Los granos se adhirieron sin mayores problemas e hice mi foto.

Week 43, 2020: Reflections / Reflejos

Once again, my daughter. She's holding a candle and facing a mirror. I used only candle light for my photo exposure.

Una vez más, mi hija. Está sosteniendo una vela y de frente a un espejo. Usé solo la luz de la vela para la exposición de mi foto.

Week 44, 2020: Abstract / Abstracto

A photo on the edge of a piece of cardboard with my macro lens. The blur is such that the rest is blurred beautifully and cleanly. Underneath are some pieces of blue and red self-adhesive vinyl. An LED light illuminates from below.

Una foto al borde de un trozo de cartulina con mi lente macro. El desenfoque es tal, que el resto se difumina bella y limpiamente. Debajo hay unos trozos de vinilo autoadhesivo azul y rojo. Una luz LED ilumina desde abajo.

Week 45, 2020: Signs / Señales
For this challenge I was a little short of ideas, so almost on deadline, I made a printed traffic sign with a small strip of PVC as a post. I projected an image of the road on the TV and took my photo. It's not one of my coolest ideas, but I met the challenge!

Para este reto estaba un poco falto de ideas, así que casi con fecha límite, hice una señal de tráfico impresa y con una pequeña tira de pvc como poste. Proyecté una imagen de carretera en el televisor e hice mi foto. No es una de mis ideas más geniales, pero cumplí con el reto!

Some photos correspond better than others to each challenge posed...I will embrace imperfection!
Algunas fotos corresponden mejor que otras a cada reto planteado...abrazaré la imperfección!
