One week at a time. Chapter 6 - eng/esp

Hello, photography lovers! Today I bring you chapter 6 with several photographic exercises that I did on the site 52frames during 2020, my first year there. I hope you find them interesting!

Hola, amantes de la fotografía! Hoy les traigo el capítulo 6 con varios ejercicios fotográficos que hice en el sitio 52frames durante el 2020, mi primer año ahí. Espero que les resulten interesantes!

Week 33, 2020: Night photography / Fotografía nocturna
We were in the city of Camagüey. A friend wanted to go out with me for a few minutes outside the city center to carry out this task. We stopped for a moment on the side of the ring road, placed my tripod on the hood of my car and took several shots. My friend was delighted to see the magic of the light trails captured on camera. This type of photography is truly fascinating!

Estábamos en la ciudad de Camagüey. Un amigo quiso salir conmigo unos minutos fuera del casco urbano para realizar esta tarea. Nos detuvimos un momento a un lado de la circunvalación, colocamos mi trípode sobre el capó de mi auto e hicimos varias tomas. Mi amigo quedó encantado al ver la magia de los estelas de luz capturadas en cámara. Realmente este tipo de fotografía es fascinante!

Week 34, 2020: Rule of odds / Regla de los impares
Our brain processes odd quantities better: 1, 3, 5, 7 and so on. He tends to complete that count and anything that makes him work like that is pleasant to him. Here, some Creole clothesline sticks, totally devastated by the harsh Caribbean sun.

Nuestro cerebro procesa mejor las cantidades impares: 1, 3, 5, 7 y así. Tiende a completar ese conteo y todo lo que le haga trabajar así le resulta agradable. Aquí, unos palillos de tendedera criollos, totalmente devastados por el sol inclemente del caribe.

Week 35, 2020: Common object / Objeto común
My glasses to wear in front of the computer. I tried to find a different angle with my macro lens for something so common today.

Mis gafas para usar frente a la computadora. Traté de encontrar un ángulo diferente con mi lente macro para algo tan común hoy en día.

Week 36, 2020: Combine three challenges / Combinar tres retos
My list of challenges met in this job:
1/Low Key, 2/Negative Space, 3/Intentional Color Palette 4/Roll of Film (3rd Shot) 5/Common Object and… I wish the flashlight would fit, but I used my external flash, not a proper flashlight.

Mi lista de desafíos cumplidos en este trabajo:
1/Clave baja, 2/Espacio negativo, 3/paleta de colores intencional 4/Rollo de película (tercera toma) 5/objeto común y… Desearía que la linterna encajara, pero usé mi flash externo, no una linterna propiamente dicha.

Week 37, 2020: Single focal point / Punto focal único
This little flower belongs to a succulent that my wife has on our terrace. It is the only flower that hummingbirds come to drink out of all the succulents we have. For the focal point, what better than a macro lens with its limited focus area. I applied an extra range of colors, just because.

Esta florecilla pertenece a una suculenta que mi esposa posee en nuestra terraza. Es la única flor que los colibríes se acercan a libar de todas las suculentas que tenemos. Para el punto focal, qué mejor que un lente macro con su limitada área de enfoque. Apliqué una gama de colores extra, solo porque sí.

Week 38, 2020: A chair / Una silla
This is a decorative chair. A small one, about two inches high. I can’t recall where we bought it, but it’s a memory from somewhere we went here in Cuba…and now I can’t remember.
I took two cardboards to make a corner, cut off a window, and placed my flash outside. Did several shots looking for an angle that made me happy. An incense didn’t cast too much smoke to make my scene dramatic enough, so I did it on Ps using layer masks.
It’s a scene of a man, maybe a musician, a maraca performer, that is, somehow, absent.

Esta es una silla decorativa. Uno pequeño, de unos cinco centímetros de alto. No recuerdo dónde lo compramos, pero es un recuerdo de algún lugar al que fuimos aquí en Cuba… y ahora no lo recuerdo.
Tomé dos cartones para hacer una esquina, corté una ventana y coloqué mi flash afuera. Hice varias tomas buscando un ángulo que me hiciera feliz. Un incienso no arrojó demasiado humo para que mi escena fuera lo suficientemente dramática, así que lo hice en Ps usando máscaras de capa.
Es la escena de un hombre, tal vez un músico, un intérprete de maraca, que de alguna manera está ausente.

Some photos correspond better than others to each challenge posed...I will embrace imperfection!
Algunas fotos corresponden mejor que otras a cada reto planteado...abrazaré la imperfección!
