Hello, photography lovers! Today I bring you chapter 47 with several photographic exercises that I have been doing during this year 2024 on the site 52frames. Week 29, 2024: Shape with light / Conformar con luz

Anya asked me for a "Polaroid" session for a casting, the payment for me was for her to do several poses to meet this week's challenge. I kept this one. I used two strip lights placed at 45 degrees behind her, on both sides. B&W for the drama.

Week 30, 2024: Water / Agua
After watching several tutorials at the University of YouTube, I decided to put into practice what I had learned: Low power of the flash to achieve a shorter flash time and, consequently, freeze a drop of water in the air at 1/200. I set my beauty dish with my AD200 to 1/128th of power and took several shots with my macro lens. With it I miraculously achieved a few well-defined drops mid air. I finally decided on this photo, in addition to the black and white treatment, I also removed contrast around the drop to emphasize its importance.

Después de ver varios tutoriales en la Universidad de YouTube, decidí poner en práctica lo aprendido: Bajar la potencia del flash para conseguir un menor tiempo de destello y, en consecuencia, congelar una gota de agua en el aire a 1/200. Configuré mi beauty dish con mi AD200 a 1/128 de potencia y tomé varias fotografías con mi lente macro. Con él conseguí milagrosamente unas gotas bien definidas en pleno vuelo. Finalmente me decidí por esta foto, además del tratamiento en blanco y negro, también eliminé el contraste alrededor de la gota para enfatizar su importancia.

Week 31, 2024: Distortion / Distorsión
A background with lines on my PC monitor, and a part of a binder clip on water on dark surface. Long exposure to use nothing but the monitor light. I edited the verticals to match the edges of the image.

Un fondo con líneas en el monitor de mi PC y una parte de un clip de carpeta sobre agua sobre una superficie oscura. Exposición prolongada para no utilizar nada más que la luz del monitor. Edité las verticales para que coincidan con los bordes de la imagen.

Week 32, 2024: Night photography / Fotografía nocturna
That night after the rain I went out to photograph the electric pole we have on the corner and I saw this family of frogs waiting for their dinner in the burning light of the neighborhood. If the heat don't roast the insects, the frogs will roast themselves! I applied noise reduction and removed some artifacts, then applied an unsharp mask to improve details.

Esa noche después de la lluvia salí a fotografiar el poste eléctrico que tenemos en la esquina y vi a esta familia de ranas esperando su cena en la luz ardiente del barrio. ¡Si el calor no asa a los insectos, las ranas se asarán solas! Apliqué reducción de ruido y eliminé algunos artefactos, luego apliqué una máscara de enfoque para mejorar los detalles.

Some photos may be closer to the challenges posed than others. I will embrace imperfection!
