Hoy os traigo en este post, uno de los enclaves más icónicos y famosos de toda Francia. Se trata del Mont Saint Michel.

Situado entre la Bretaña y la Normandía francesa, este precioso lugar constituye uno de los puntos de mayor peregrinación de turistas de toda Francia y es que el enclave privilegiado y la majestuosidad y belleza de la abadía que corona el monte, lo convierten en una de las estampas más bellas que se pueden observar.

Lugar con mucha carga histórica por su privilegiada ubicación, ha sido marco de numerosas batallas a lo largo de la historia, como la guerra de los 100 años, pero de muy difícil asedio por las subidas y bajadas de las mareas que llegan a cubrir por completo toda la superficie del monte convirtiéndolo en una isla.

Considerado como Patrimonio de la Humanidad en 1979 por la UNESCO, es visitado por más de 3 millones de personas todos los años.
Visita obligada si visitas el Norte de Francia.
