Natural Wonders in Antalya; Etler Waterfall

I am sure that there are many natural beauties in the city where we live, although we know their beauties, that we cannot spare time for ourselves and go. You work very hard, you might be. You want to get home as soon as possible and rest. Maybe you forgot to travel because of the living conditions brought by today. We are all going through difficult times right now. I hope that after every dark cloud, we will feel the warmth of the shining sun in our hearts. Today, I will give you information about Etler Waterfall, one of the most beautiful natural wonders of Antalya, the city I live in.

Etler Waterfall is located in the Etler Village of the Serik district of Antalya. It is approximately 60 km from the center of Antalya. You can reach the waterfall from Serik district in two ways. You can go to the waterfall from the district both through Gökçepınar village and from Etler village. The distances of both roads to the waterfall are almost the same. You can go to the waterfall with your car up to a certain point. After a certain point, you have to park your car in a suitable place and walk about 500 meters. You may have some difficulty walking on this dirt road, which is surrounded by large rocks and pine trees. That's why I recommend you to come here with a solid sneaker.

At the end of the 500-meter hike, you have to go down a steep rock with long pebbles and extremely dangerous to reach the waterfall. You have to be very careful to get out of here. Because small pebbles can upset your balance while walking on the surface of the clay soil. When you go down this difficult road, a magnificent view awaits you.
Etler Waterfall glides between two large steep cliffs as if flying in the air and falls into its pool. Some local people living here named this waterfall as Uçansu waterfall. But since it is located in the Etler Village, it is referred to as the Etler Waterfall. You can come here and swim and cool off in the ice-cold water of the waterfall. The waterfall flows more in May and June. The waterfall flows into the pool by slapping the rocks between two large mossy boulders from a height of about 100 meters. You can spend time with nature and enjoy the view in this hidden paradise corner, which the people of Antalya do not know much about. On both sides of the waterfall, you can see timeless old trees.

Around the pool where the waterfall is poured, you can also come across soil pieces in different color tones, a mixture of sand and gravel, which attracts attention with their natural formations. When you follow the flowing water, you can notice that the old tree branches around it bend and create a magnificent view. You can hear the chirping of birds in this peaceful environment where you surrender yourself to nature. The thing that makes me happy here is that it is extremely clean. I can say that I was very happy to see the leaves falling from the trees mixed with the water and flowing away.

From the skirts of the Taurus Mountains, you can see that some of the rocks have rotted due to the adverse weather conditions. These large rocks, which stand in different ways where the water flows, pose a danger to those swimming in the pool. As you move towards the direction of the water, you are almost fascinated by the sight of plane trees reminiscent of the colors of the spring air.
