How my day went; A walk to the phone store.

Today is Wednesday. It's time to have a long walk around the street.

The weather this morning was kinda cool, it rained a few days ago and was a little sunny yesterday, so hopefully today should just be average, not too hot and not too cold.

So I started my day by waking up from my bed and getting to pray. After prayers, I headed out on the street to visit and supervise a farm where I made the hatching of little fish (fries) and also monitored some broiler chickens too.

It was a little distance from my home but not a long walk. This is something I have done every day for the past 9 days. So the street and how to wander across it had become something familiar to me.

Then after successful supervision, I had to head back home to take breakfast and also prepare to go out for the day walk.

I bought a charger yesterday from a phone accessory store in the market. But when I got home to test it, I found out it wasn't working fine for my device. So I had to go back to the store to make my complaints.

I got ready for the walk and the walk from my house to the market is a little distant compared to the farmhouse. It's more of a triple trip to get to the market.

The bad road

Most times during the rainy season we always experience a bad road and this is because of the untarred and muddy road we have, so when it rains the road gets slippery and muddy the topsoil gets washed away into the sewers and leaves portholes on the roads.

But when it's a little sunny then it dries so easily and feels good for trekking.

The filling station

There is a filling station that just got launched a few months ago, not up to two months and it's been so active. It is of greater advantage because getting fuel for people like us living farther from the expressways where filling’s stations are located most times find it difficult to get fuel and we are always left with no option to either take a bike down there or break a long distance.

But since the launch of this filling station, it has made it easier to buy fuel just a few walks away from home.

The market

The market has always been a busy, noisy, and dirty place since time immemorial. And there is no difference from this marketplace too. Most times I don't like to see myself wandering around the market.

Getting to the market entrance has always been clumsy because everyone’s trying to buy and sell and the in and out of traders. This made the bike man and tricycle owners park at the entrance to pick up customers.

There was a time when the marketplace was always rough and dirty but some years back the market road got tarred and this got to aid movement and transportation within the market.

There is a health center located within the market square and it is open most of the time for maternity care.

At the center of the market sits a restaurant, the Garden Bukateria, which remains one of the best and oldest bukateria in town.

I just have to cross the road and then adjacent to the restaurant is where the phone store is located. I got there and made a complaint about the charger.

The phone store

This time around I was with my device, the cable I got yesterday, and my adapter too. So after a series of tests it was discovered that my adapter is what was having the problem and not the cord itself. So I am to get a new adapter again. I had to walk back home and wait for another day when I had enough funds to get the adapter.

That was all about today's walks. Thanks for journeying with me.

Muddy road, my path every morning since it's rainy season here. I tend to slipped and think I injured my hip a bit but it's tolerable 😊

Nice to have a walk with you (as I read it) 😁☺️

Yes the most difficult time in the season to walk on the road is in the raining season, it's even worst on muddy places. And the market suffers the most. But you did a good job even in the muddy places...😊🦋

You sure had a long walk, or maybe not so long hehe
The bad road we have in some parts of Nigeria, if not about 90% is truly disturbing.
Did you freely take the pictures, or did you try not to make people think you were taking pictures? hehe
