[Week 145] Morning romanticism...

[Week 145] Morning romanticism...

If I were subjected to an evaluation to measure people's romanticism, I would certainly not be able to pass with the highest grade. And it is not one of the natural characteristics in me. Years of marriage, good examples, timely advice and even necessity have made me make a conscious effort to cultivate this quality.

During one of my wife's periods of poor health, the doctor told us about some things we should do to make her feel better. And he told me something that didn't sit well with me at first: "Feed her chocolate in the morning".

At first I thought: "Could it be that this doctor is a chocoholic?" (Cases have been seen). But then I understood that it was because chocolate helps to produce serotonin, endorphin and dopamine, and thus promote good mood from the same call.

So I went out to look for chocolate in a street place I had seen before where they sold small and assorted chocolates. I thought I would buy several and give her one a day. Fortunately I bought them and kept them in a secret place.

But, in a moment I thought and decided that I would not do it just for health reasons, logical... What if I made it something romantic? Well, since I make breakfast at home, I tried all those days to present the chocolate attractively on the plate. Some mornings I even prepared a note, to add that personal touch.

Every morning my wife was surprised by a different chocolate. Good for the vendor who had variety in his business! But I remember how she felt about such breakfasts in the mornings. I think it did have a good effect.

Chocolate is said to help the couple, and it probably does. This may not be the most romantic thing in the world, nor the most romantic thing I've ever done, but at least it's the one I remember recently and have evidence of, which by the way, was supplied to me by her, because I didn't take pictures of anything.

I still pluck little flowers when I go out to take them to her, or do something romantic on a more regular basis, so how about that, do I get a better grade on the romance test?

😎

This is my response to the @galenkp planting for this weekend, about: "What is the most romantic thing you have ever done for someone. Who was it, what did you do and how was it received?"

Aww. It’s the little things sometimes.
This was so wholesome, I wish someone would feed me chocolates every morning 😍

It's just that having breakfast with sweets is one of the things that I also like. I think one of the hardest parts of this was watching her eat her chocolate, but not me. 🤣 Well, the things you do for love. Greetings @winniecorp
