Good morning Hive family and all the photographers lovers around the world, what I got here for you all today are these shots of this Osprey with a first time capture of it having a Needle Fish. This is the male and it was bringing in the fish for the babies. It's always real nice when I get photos of a species that I've gotten a lot of with something different and I think this is pretty dang cool. All my in flight fish action shots with Osprey's have been with Trout and Bass, now this time is different and so much cooler looking fish in its Talons. Now I am just going to do these three in order as I took them, couldn't decide what cover shot I should do because I like all three of these shots but I think it is perfect the way it is in order of capture. I do think the cover shot above is my favorite one, the detail on the Needle fish is so dang cool looking, as well as the angle of the bird in flight. The second shot below is just as good and I am so happy with the results, as well as being able to get at least three images this day to be able to post here today. I took many but most were blurry and or just the detail wasn't there.

Now for the last shot here was another one but to me its just okay, the top two are way better than this one. As he flew in he just showed momma and the babies he's got food but proceeded to go perch at a different location first, he wanted the head of the fish. What I have noticed when it comes to Osprey is they eat the head asap, then might fly around with the rest or go take it to the babies. I suppose the head has the best goodies in it for the bird to want to eat it first. Maybe that is where the most nutrition is when it comes to birds, it makes sense to me.
