Hello there, black-and-white photography lovers!

There are still plenty of photos to use for the #monomad challenge and they are all about that last field trip of Flora Cumanensis. I've decided to separate them into ecosystems since we took our time walking, watching and talking about the different areas during that long trek into the not-so-known parts of our city.

There's a sort of botanical garden near the beach. It houses lots of different species. One of the most recognizable was cotton. I had seen some of those plants near my house when I was younger. Cumaná had an important textile industry back in the day of the colony. Anyways, the diversity of plants makes you understand how rich the soil is.

A perfect balance between bushes, trees, cactus and more can be found in an straight line from the beach towards the road. Cactus mark the end of this ecosystem as we enter some dunes before the beach. And even there, we have interesting plants to see.

But take a look at these fruits and flowers.

¡Bueno día, amantes de las fotografías en blanco y negro!

Todavía me quedan muchas fotos de la última salida de campo de Flora Cumanesis. Todas van a ser expuestas en este espacio del #monomad challenge. He decidido separarlas en ecosistemas porque vimos muchas cosas, pero algunas estaban delimitadas por el área en que las encontramos. Caminar por estas áreas no tan conocidas de la ciudad es una actividad interesante.

Hay una especie de jardín botánico cerca de la playa. Hay muchas especies conviviendo en una línea recta. Una de las más comunes es el algodón. Había visto plantas de este tipo cerca de mi casa (al otro lado de la ciudad) cuando era más joven. En otros tiempos, Cumaná tuvo una industria textil muy importante. Además, la variedad da a entender la fertilidad del terreno.

Hay un equilibrio perfecto entre arbustos, árboles y cactus. Todos van en hileras desde la playa hasta regresar a la vía. Los cactus marcan el final de este ecosistema hasta que comienzan las dunas de la playa. Allí hay otro tipo de plantas.

Por ahora, les muestro estas flores y frutos.
